Japan was never desperate to attract the traveler's attention. In Tokyo, now comes the Gundam robot-themed hotel, the legendary cartoon character from 33 years ago. Curious?
Reporting from CNNGo, when visited on Monday (02.07.2012), Hotel Grand Pacific Le Daiba open a new room theme 'hero Gundam robot. Hotel is located on the waterfront is starting to receive a Gundam-themed rooms, two of which can be combined into suites for the rich Gundam fans.
Gundam room was opened on Friday, last June 29th, and decorated with pictures of various cartoon robot. Hotel room bed sheets were motivated by a variety of images Gundam weapons. More exciting yet, carpets and wallpaper are also decorated with the colors on the robot.
Gundam room rent for 26 000 yen ($ 260) for two people. If a room filled with three people, the rate fell slightly to 25,000 yen ($ 250). Room rates are much more expensive than standard hotel rooms that are priced at 17,000 yen ($ 170).
The hotel seemed really attract a big fan of Gundam. Gundam cartoon films emerged since 1979, still preserved to this day by continuing to release new versions of the film. Gundam is not just appear in the anime movie, but thousands of robot toys series, video games, and even lunch boxes.
"We're aiming for old fans to become parents. We want them to use the room as a family trip," says the hotel.
Grand Pacific Hotel is located by the Gundam Front Tokyo, the exhibition which is often used to cast Gundam, and various Japanese cartoon character. So fit, right? Come to the show Gundam, then stay in the room 'Gundam. Wow, that seemed to go back to childhood!
