GoDaddy Attacked by Hacker

Weihome Magazine : LONDON - Thousands of web sites listed in the web hosting site GoDaddy suffered damage from being attacked by hackers "Anonymous". Anonymous members responsible for the attack is a hacker with the Twitter account AnonymousOwn3r. As a result of the attack, millions of websites the world down.

These sites are down does not only occur in those who have hosting on the web. Even sites that register their domain through GoDaddy, too get affected. This is because the attack was targeting the DNS connecting domain links to a server hosted by GoDaddy.

As reported by the BBC (9/11), GoDaddy's webhosting then stated on its website will be back online after the attack. The company which is the domain of the millions of sites around the world also apologized for the panic some customers.

Meanwhile, on behalf AnonymousOwn3r hacker claimed himself as the "leader" of the group. But he also said in his tweet that the attack was be done alone and not on behalf of the organization. GoDaddy is a hosting company in the world and claims posted revenues worth USD 1.1 billion in sales in 2011.
