Microsoft Announced Windows Phone 8 Features

Microsoft introduced Windows Phone 8 in the arena of Windows Phone Summit in San Francisco, USA.

Microsoft has announced the features of Windows Phone 8 which has some features like the new Start screen display, support for multi-core processors, the display resolution of HD, NFC, etc..

But among the features of Windows Phone 8 is announced, probably the most important is the presence of NT Kernel (called Windows Core) which has a file system, network system, media, web browsers, drivers and security systems (security model) the same as in Windows OS 8.

Windows Phone 8 Features
  • Support Multi-core processors (up to 64 cores)
  • Support WVGA screen resolution, WXVGA, as well as High-Definition (1280 × 720)
  • Support MicroSD Card!
  • NFC Wireless Sharing
  • Internet Explorer 10
  • Wallet is useful as an online payment
  • Map with turn-by-turn directions, powered by Nokia Maps
Windows Phone 8 has very high expectations for Microsoft and the gadget community, This is normal especially when we look at the above excellent features.

But behind it all turned out to bring anxiety for owners of mobile phones that use Windows Phone 7, due to the hardware infrastructure as well as different kernels with the mobile phone OS WP7 will not be upgraded to WP 8.

To prevent and overcome the resentment that might arise from its customers, Microsoft plans to release Windows Phone 7.8 upgrade that will provide some of the features in WP8 like the look of the start screen. But unfortunately the features that rely on NT Kernel certainly absent in the update.
